Semillas de Esperanza 

Seeds of Hope was developed by Dr. Alyssa Ramírez Stege, a licensed psychologist, in collaboration with the Dane County Center as part of their initiative, Hope: Our Health Culture. It is designed for Latinx communities who have faced barriers or obstacles to fully participating in society, and who are looking for new tools to reflect on and take action regarding their reality.  

The course consists of 8 modules of about an hour each, organized around video segments (approximately three per module) plus a 30-minute facilitated activity. The videos are pre-recorded; the facilitation happens during the activity. 

Escucha Tus Emociones

Escucha Tus Emociones training provides 20-24 hours of professional development. It also resources trainees to implement a community-based mental and emotional health training to offer talks and resources in the Spanish speaker Latinx community. 

Escucha Tus Emociones training can serve s CPS Continuing education credits: 

Introduction to mental health; Emotional intelligence; The physiology of stress and trauma; The effects of immigration on mental and emotional health; Intergenerational and historical trauma; Reclaiming our identity, our cultural roots and ancestral wisdom; Natural and culturally affirming mental and emotional healing practices and tools; Practical tools for emotional health and stress reduction; Healthy communication, scope of work, ethics, confidenciality and boundaries; Adolescence and mental health; Group facilitation and how to work with campaign material 

CPS TRAINING

This is a 7-week training program that will provide Dane County Latinx participants build a set of skills based on their unique lived experiences to offer support to people receiving services related to mental health or substance use challenges.
