CAMINOS CNA Program
Join Caminos CNA and become a bilingual Certified Nursing Assistant!
This course is provided in English with support for students whos English is their second language.
This program is only for Dane County, Wisconsin Residents.
The Caminos CNA Program is a 5-month training offered in partnership with Madison College and the United Way HIRE Initiative. Selected participants will receive a scholarship, case management support and, an ELL-supported Nursing Assistant class at Madison College. As a training participant, you will develop skills in the following areas:

Requirements:
- 18 years old or older
- GED / High School Diploma
- Completed High School in country of origin (access to original documents is required)
- English must be second language (intermediate to advanced level)
- Authorized to work in the US
- No criminal record
Selected participants in Dane County will receive a scholarship as well as case managed support for them to complete an ESL-supported Nursing Assistant program at Madison College. The goal is to obtain Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification as well as obtain employment in the healthcare setting. The scholarship will support the following: tuition, books, computer software training, and career placement assistance.
As part of the program, participants will complete the following evening and weekend sessions:

- 4 weeks of ESL Class Support
- 8 weeks of the CNA program curriculum
- 4 weeks of computer instruction, "soft skills", and leadership development
- 1 week of State Certification preparation
- Employment Placement support with the assistance of an Employment Advisory Council
- Follow-up case management for 6 months up to 1 year
