YOUTH PROGRAMS
Centro works in partnership with the MMSD, United Way, City of Madison and Dane County to provide after-school programming to over 250 youth in Madison annually.
Juventud (6th-8th grade) and Escalera (9th-12th grade) empower Latino students to be strong, proud and independent learners who graduate college-ready from high school.
Our programs revolve around a holistic approach to student success - incorporating mentoring, academic tutoring, hands-on workshops, team building, community involvement, field trips and guest speakers into our curriculum.
Juventud and Escalera aim to be brave spaces in their school sites where Latino students can develop a deep sense of belonging to each other, their school and the community as a whole.
