Legacy Gifts
Leave a loving gift to future generations of Centro Hispano of Dane County!
For many of us, this is often the largest and most impactful gift, we can make in our lifetime.
Often, all it takes is a quick phone call to your lawyer to add a charitable gift to Centro Hispano of Dane County to your will. But you might want to explore other options with a financial adviser as well — you don't need a large income or vast estate for this to be worthwhile. Some options even have benefits to you during your lifetime!

You can also establish an endowment that honors the memory of a family member or another loved one. These endowments live forever since only the income is used annually. Endowments for Centro Hispano of Dane County are held at the Madison Community Foundation (MCF). Please contact David Koehler, MCF VP Donor Engagement, dkoehler@madisongives.org for more information about existing endowments or how to establish a new endowment for Centro.

Designating the purpose of a bequest
- Unrestricted: The most useful type of bequest is unrestricted, allowing the funds to be allocated by Centro Hispano Inc. (Centro Hispano of Dane County) wherever the need is greatest.
- Restricted: You may designate your bequest to support a special program or purpose that reflects your personal or professional interest (for example scholarships, youth programs, operations, capacity building, adult programs, general support). If the bequest is restricted to a specific purpose, it is important that the following wording be added at the end of the provision. This will ensure that in the remote possibility a specified purpose may cease to need funds in the future, an alternate use for the bequest may be determined. “..... for so long as Centro Hispano Inc. (Centro Hispano of Dane County) determines that the need exists. Should the need no longer exist, said Centro Hispano Inc. (Centro Hispano of Dane County) may, in its sole discretion, direct the use of my bequest for a purpose related as closely as possible to that stated above."
