ABOUT RESILIENCE - Centro's first community-wide appeal

Centro Hispano of Dane County (Centro) is at the forefront of the local response to the pandemic for the Latino community. We are acting to alleviate the impact of the virus on multiple levels and to support our families in need.

To protect our families this year we had to cancel our annual celebration gala -- for the first time in over thirty years of holding this event. The gala was the most important fundraiser for Centro and an important event for the Latino community and its allies in Dane County.

With RESILIENCE, Centro's first community-wide appeal and social media campaign, our goal is to still support our families and to uplift the voices in our community.

We hope to raise $50,000 by October 31st (the equivalent of if we had 500 people attend our event). If we reach our goal. UW Health has offered to match the $50,000 dollar for dollar -- that's $100,000 for Centro programs!
